EUROPE SEAFREIGHT - OCEANFREIGHT RATES IN EUROS

Mar 25

From 1st April a number of shipping lines have advised they will change from charging oceanfreight and BAF (oil surcharge) in USDs to EUROs.

These shipping lines include MAERSK and HAMBURG SUD.

Your freight rates will be updated to reflect these new Euro rates where applicable, but in the mean time can you please note the following :-
LCL
From the following areas please divide your current USD LCL rate by 1.46 in order to obtain the equivalent Euro rate

Denmark
- only where a MAERSK vessel is being used

France Germany
- only where a MAERSK vessel is being used

Norway
- only where a MAERSK vessel is being used

Spain Sweden
- only where a MAERSK vessel is being used

UK
FCL Maersk
From all ports in EUROPE / UK / MED / SCANDINAVIA divide your current Oceanfreight / BAF rate by 1.46

We appreciate the fact that because not all shipping lines that service the EUROPE - NZ trade are making this change, that some confusion will exist.
