Possible increases in Airfreight Rates ex Europe and UK

Monday, 5 October 2009

Our European Airfreight agents have advised that most airlines have announced their intention to increase airfreight rates by 10% - 30% in the near future.

All carriers have reduced flights due to the global passenger downturn and because of this a general cargo space shortage has been created.

We will keep you advised but at this point in time a rate increase of at least EUR 0.20 per kg seems very likely at some point.
