Maersk Duffield - Delayed - Engine Room Fire

Wednesday, 16 December 2009

The Maersk Duffield V949N has been delayed in Brisbane due to a fire in the engine room.
She was originally due AKL on the 19th of December. At this stage there is no firm revised ETA.

The latest update from Maersk advised : " It is now clear that the Duffiled will remain at Brisbane longer than initially estimated. Two of the Five generators onboard cannot be repaired in Brisbane."

Maersk has indicated a possible sailing date of Dec 19th.
If this did occur, it is possible that the Auckland ETA could be Dec 23rd, however this is only an estimate based on current information.

Mondiale are in on-going contact with Maersk regarding this, we will update as soon as we have more information.
