Europe Import Seafreight Increases from 1st April 2010

Friday, 26 February 2010

Almost all shipping lines have indicated their intention to increase seafreight rates from 1st April.

The increases have yet to be confirmed by every line but most are indicating between USD 150.00 (EUR 100.00) to USD 250.00 (EUR 150.00) per 20ft (double for a 40ft) increases.

Should these go ahead LCL rates will also increase by approximatly USD 9.00 / EUR 6.00 per w/m.

We will confirm any increases as soon as we are able.
