Airfreight delays from Europe

Monday, 10 May 2010

The ongoing sporadic volcanic activity from Iceland continues to play havoc with air services throughout Europe. Eruptions one day seem to affect flights from UK / Ireland quite quickly, Northern Europe very shortly afterwards and as far south as Spain, Portugal and Italy some days after that. This of course is solely due to the strength and direction of the wind.

The end result is that at any given time air services seem to be affected somewhere in the region. Therefore please continue to allow for longer than usual airfreight transit times.
