Italy - Change of LCL service and rate structure

Jan 24

As per previous advise our LCL (groupage) service is now being shipped on MAERSK vessels.  The cargo cut-off in Milan is close of business Thursday for loading Friday and departure the following Wednesday. Transit to Auckland is 41 days.  A  number of shipping lines have changed their shipping schedules from the Mediterranean.   The MAERSK service is as quick as any others from Italy now.

However the MAERSK rate structure (oceanfreight/BAF) is different and it is in EURO's. Therefore we will be changing your current US$ rate over to EURO's effective from 1st Feb. Your US$ rate will be transferred to EURO's at the current cross-over exchange rate. Given the weakening of the EURO against the NZ$ versus the slight strengthening of the US$ it is likely you will find you will be paying less NZ$'s than you were before.

Clients who import LCL shipments from Italy will be sent advice of your new EURO rate shortly. Any queries please contact Bryan Hutson or Edna Xavier.
