June will see a resumption of the Stevedore strikes throughout all Ports in Spain. These are in retaliation to Port Reforms that the EEU are pressuring the Spanish Government to introduce.
As before the planned disruptions are “confused” and is it is not known what the actual end affect will be on planned services. At this time 7 specific working days have been set aside by the Stevedores for Industrial Action, and that will take the form of the Stevedores themselves striking every second hour. That will mean them working from 08.00 – 09.00 then being on strike from 09.00 – 10.00 and so on and so on.
Groupage Service - Hamburg SudAt this stage HAMBURG SUD has not announced any Port cancellations. However we do expect that the cut-off times may come forward. Currently our cut-off in Barcelona is every Wednesday. Our suggestion is to work to a Monday / Tuesday latest.
FCL serviceAt this stage we have not received any specific advise from any Carrier confirming that they will be changing the scheduled Port calls however we would again suggest allowing for an earlier cut-off time in order to make specific sailings
