The latest “ready” date announced by CENTREPORT is August.
During this month both port container cranes will become operational. At this time indications are that carriers who were calling Wellington (Maersk, MSC, PIL, NYK, OOCL etc) prior to the November earthquake, will resume port calls there.
KIWI RAIL services to|from Palmerston North|Wanganui|New Plymouth are already fully operational, therefore once the shipping lines begin calling at Centreport a full resumption of container on-forwarding|pre-carriage services are expected to begin.
As soon as details have been confirmed and actual start dates have been set we will let you know.
