Update: Xingang Port Explosion

We have been informed that the majority of Tianjin terminals have been unaffected by the blast on Wednesday night however roads leading up to the terminals are still cordoned off.

As such shipping line container yards in the Port area (where containers are delivered for loading on vessels) and many warehouses in the port area remain closed.

Tianjin Xingang Port in the Binhai New Area District encompasses the old and larger Beijiang Port and new Dongjiang Port.  Information has come through overnight that the explosion occurred at Beijiang rather than Dongjiang as we had advised yesterday. Apologies for this error.

The majority of shipping lines call at Beijiang which has numerous terminals.
