Ports of Auckland - Update #9

Sep 21

Hi, please see the following Port of Auckland update as of a few minutes ago. Please note that for today, Friday 21 September, they have advised that from 1900 hours to 0700 hours on Saturday 22 September R&D operations will work with limited capacity. This will have a major impact on our ability to pick up containers as when they say R&D they refer to moves within the Port area and loading onto trucks to dispatch from the Port. Rest assured Mondiale will do everything in power over the weekend to uplift as many containers as we can. We will update you again on Monday.

Fergusson Terminal Operations Update

Good afternoon

Today we would like to update you as follows -

Vessels:

  • Alongside and working: Aglaia and ANL Emora;
  • Arriving during the weekend: Sima Giselle and Spirit of Hamburg

Please continue to monitor Ports of Auckland website for changes in the vessel schedules.

VBS bookings are being managed by our Gate Ops team, working with the trucking companies to ensure the most effective road exchange operation.

For today, Friday 21 September, we have to advise that from 1900 hours to 0700 hours on Saturday 22 September R&D operations will work with limited capacity. We request that transport companies keep to booking times as far as possible to avoid congestion.

Imports:
Trucking Companies will receive priority bookings for Hazardous and Reefer import containers. Please note that there will be no extra free time for DG containers and reefer containers – including power charges. Demurrage for all other units has been extended for the meantime.

Exports:
For the next 24 hours priority will be given only to Export containers for:

  • Sima Giselle;
  • Spirit of Hamburg;
  • Sea Dream;
  • ALS Jupiter.

We will start receiving Export containers for the following vessels from 0700 hours Saturday 22 September:

  • ANL Walwa;
  • Botany Bay.

We request rail users refrain from sending Export Containers that are not for the above mentioned vessels. Containers that are booked to load later vessels will not be unloaded from the train and will be returned.

Due to the space restrictions in the yard we will manage receival of Empty export containers directly with the Shipping Lines. The On Dock Link facility remains open for de-hire of Empties.
